Again, I have fairly big hands, so your mileage may vary here, but I generally like at least a little leeway in gripping a knife as opposed to just the same grip over and over, including the amount of choking up you're doing. It works, but it's really only a "one-grip" knife for me, which is fine, given that I'm mostly cutting very tiny things with it. Surprisingly, the ergonomics aren't too bad, although with large hands, I do have to choke up all the way and hold it with three fingers while coming up with creative placement for my ring finger and pinkie finger. Fit and finish are great for $13 knife, and while I admit to light use, mine is showing very little if any wear. The grind is perfect, the centering is perfect, and when run head to head with an XActo blade to cut model parts from a sprue, it beats the XActo hands-down. It also comes with a very, very sharp factory edge, much sharper than I expected from a knife with a 3Cr13MoV blade (which is about equivalent to 420 steel). Little did I know! It's a pretty snappy slip-joint, so you won't have to worry about the blade coming loose. Add to CartĪt first, I thought of this little knife (and I do mean little it's shorter and slimmer than my index finger even when open) as a novelty.
